He was born in Rotterdam on a houseboat. He studied social sciences. In 1988, he came to the 3rd International Symposium in Nový Bor and fell in love there - with the local landscape, with glass, with one Czech woman.... He learned to cut glass, made a number of friends and settled here. Today, he has been creating precise and purist optical glass sculptures here for more than 30 years and has become an integral part of the local glassmaking community.
