Trained architect who learned to blow glass in the glass factory "de Oude Horn", founded by his father in the industrial building of the water pumping station. In 1995, he took over from his father, Wilhelm. Today, he is one of the most influential Dutch glassblowers, creating playful objects with an element of exaggeration, irony and humor with his female assistants.

začíná jeho umělecká kariéra – šplhá na Etnu a zkouší foukat bubliny z horké lávy / started his career as ‘artist’ by climbing the Etna, trying to blow bubbles out of the hot lava
Od té doby se událo mnoho věcí, nyní tvoří v úzké spolupráci s Debby Eerens, Nienke Sikkema, Josja Schepman and Andrea Bakker / Lot of things happened since then, now working together in close cooperation with Debby Eerens, Nienke Sikkema, Josja Schepman and Andrea Bakker.
